A natural alternative to plastic wrap. Beeswax wrap is washable, reusable and biodegradable. The natural anti-bacteria properties of beeswax will help keep foods fresh. Use the warmth of your hands to form Beeswax wrap over top of bowl, a piece of cheese or half of onion. The wrap will hold its shape when it cools, creating a seal. How to clean wax wraps: To wash beeswax wraps, rinse the wrap with cool or lukewarm water and eco-friendly dish soap. Once washed, the beeswax wraps need to air dry. Once dry, gently fold the beeswax wraps and store them in a drawer, basket or on a shelf. Over time, the wax will slowly start to break down or flake off a little. This is normal and you can still continue to use the wraps. If your beeswax wraps start looking tired, we have reference bars. So you can give your wrap second life and using it again and again. We recommend to refresh wraps after 3 months use. Avoid -Heat is not beeswax wraps’ friend! You want to keep them clear from heat sources like microwaves, dishwashers and ovens. They can’t be used in any of these appliances as their wax coating will melt. -Beeswax should avoid contact with sun light or any hot surface. -You also can’t use them to cover hot food or hot bowls for the same reason. -Wraps should never be used to cover raw meat and fish for food safety reasons. -Beeswax wraps can become stained when coming into contact with certain oils and sauces And when revival is no longer possible, don’t send it to landfill, you can wrap it around pieces of kindling and use it as a natural fire starter! Or, simply cut it up into strips and add these strips to a composter to compost it.
